Internal Sales Support

About the role
About Us
Waterbury is a long-established, family-owned business supplying high-quality bathroom accessories, mirrors, and heated towel rails into the UK’s hospitality and residential sectors.
We work on specification-led projects with leading hotel groups, designers, contractors, and developers - meaning our sales process is relationship-driven, detail-focused, and built around long-term project pipelines rather than quick transactions.
We are now looking to strengthen our Contract Sales team with an Internal Sales Support Executive - a key role that will sit at the heart of our sales operation.
The Role
This is not a typical “admin” position.
You will play a central role in supporting our Field Sales team, helping to manage live projects, improve customer response times, and ensure our CRM (Salesforce) is accurate and actionable.
Your work will directly contribute to winning projects - from initial enquiry through to specification and order.
Key Responsibilities
Daily
Manage and maintain project data within our CRM system (Salesforce)
Handle inbound enquiries and customer requests
Qualify new project leads before passing to Field Sales
Prepare and issue quotations, including visual “picture quotes”
Chase customers for drawings, specifications, and project details
Coordinate samples, product information, and follow-ups
Outbound calls to qualify and update early stage projects
Book meetings for Field Sales where appropriate
Monitor industry sources and emails for new project opportunities
Liaise with internal teams (office & warehouse) on stock and samples
Weekly
Follow up on all quoted projects to gather feedback and next steps
Identify additional opportunities within existing accounts
Review pipeline with Field Sales and maintain accurate timelines
Proactively chase dormant or stalled projects
Track sample activity and outcomes
Support preparation for client presentations
Monthly / Ongoing
Maintain CRM accuracy and support sales forecasting
Clean and manage pipeline data
Assist with reporting and performance tracking
Why This Role Matters
By taking ownership of internal sales activity, you will:
Enable Field Sales to spend more time with key clients
Improve response times and customer experience
Increase the number of opportunities properly followed up
Help convert more specifications into orders
The impact is measurable - this role is expected to significantly increase sales activity and project conversion rates.
