About the Opportunity
This role leads the strategic development and implementation of health and safety programs across multiple projects nationally. Reporting to the Regional Health & Safety Manager, you will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, oversee high-level risk assessments, and guide safety audits across the business. You will build a strong safety-first culture, lead complex incident investigations, and report directly to executive management on performance and continuous improvement.
Key Accountabilities
Set strategy and direction for enterprise-wide safety programs
Lead risk management and mitigation across the organisation
Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and industry standards
Drive safety culture through coaching and stakeholder engagement
Lead complex incident investigations and corrective actions
Manage and develop health and safety teams
Report performance metrics and governance to executive teams
Required Skills and Competencies
Degree in OHS, Environmental Science, Engineering or related
Advanced WHS qualification (Advanced Diploma or postgraduate)
Extensive experience managing multi-site safety operations
Strong track record leading incident investigations and audits
Current driver's licence for travel as required
