The Role

Your Role:

As an SAP ABAP Developer, you will create and deploy technical solutions across SAP modules to support key business objectives. Working in tandem with functional analysts and business stakeholders, you will build scalable, high-performing SAP applications and ensure smooth integration across enterprise systems.

What you will do:

Develop RICEFW Objects: Build and maintain comprehensive reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows (RICEFW) across the SAP landscape.

Enhance Standard Functions: Develop and maintain custom reports, user exits, and Business Add-Ins (BADIs) to extend system capabilities across all SAP modules.

Design Enterprise Interfaces: Design high-performance interfaces using IDocs, BAPIs, and RFCs to ensure seamless connectivity with external third-party systems.

Optimize Code Performance: Perform complex debugging and performance tuning for custom ABAP code and standard transactions to eliminate system bottlenecks.

Leverage Modern ABAP: Utilize Modern ABAP capabilities, including Core Data Services (CDS) views and OData services, to power S/4HANA and Fiori-based applications.

Manage Software Lifecycle: Oversee technical documentation and manage SAP transport requests (TRs) across the entire development and deployment lifecycle.

Support System Migrations: Participate actively in technical system upgrades, version migrations, and end-to-end S/4HANA implementation projects.

Enforce Development Standards: Adhere strictly to established SAP development standards, governance policies, and technical best practices to ensure code quality.

Required Skills and Experience

5+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

Strong understanding of SAP modules and their data structures

Proficiency in ABAP/4 and Object-Oriented ABAP

Proficient in Data Dictionary and modularization techniques

Familiarity with SAP HANA and S/4HANA development environments

Strong experience with S/4HANA, CDS views, and OData service development

Experience with Agile methodologies and collaborative development

Ability to translate functional specifications into efficient, scalable technical code

Hands-on experience in RICEFW development

Strong expertise in performance tuning and debugging

Experience with IDocs, BAPIs, BADIs, and User Exits

Experience with middleware integration (e.g., SAP PI/PO or SAP Integration Suite)

Understanding of SAP integration technologies (OData, REST, SOAP)

Proficiency in SmartForms, ALV, and SAP Scripts

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Skills and Experience

SAP certification in ABAP preferred
