About the role
Role Purpose
We're hiring a Financial Controller - a newly created, pivotal role in our Finance function. As the business grows, prepares for a new strategic supply initiative, and manages the upcoming retirement of a senior team member, this role takes full ownership of day-to-day controllership: month-end close, statutory reporting, tax compliance, internal controls, and oversight of the AP/AR and accounting team. You'll be the operational backbone of Finance, freeing up the Director of Finance to focus on strategy and commercial partnering.

Key responsibilities include:
Own the end-to-end month-end close in SAP, including management accounts, the monthly P&L pack and the Balance Sheet Review
Lead preparation of annual statutory financial statements (Irish GAAP), board pack working papers, and supporting schedules
Oversee VAT, Intrastat, VIES, Corporation Tax and ROS compliance, staying current on Irish and EU tax legislation
Supervise AP/AR processing, supplier and debtor management, cash forecasting, treasury and FX management
Act as principal finance contact for the outsourced payroll provider and ensure payroll controls are documented and effective
Design, document and maintain Navi's internal controls framework, including a segregation-of-duties matrix
Lead structured knowledge transfer from a retiring senior team member covering treasury, compliance and corporate knowledge
Coordinate the annual audit end-to-end, managing the auditor relationship and resolving queries
Line manage the Financial Accountant, Accounts Assistant (AP/AR), and Credit Controller (subject to a new initiative proceeding), including supporting part-qualified team members through ACA/ACCA/CIMA study
Essential Criteria:
Qualified accountant - ACA, ACCA or CIMA
Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience, with at least 2 years in a controllership or senior reporting role
