The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity for a CA or CPA qualified finance professional looking to move into a commercially focused Investment Analyst role. Working closely with senior leaders, you'll develop financial models, support acquisition and divestment activity, and provide the analysis that underpins key investment decisions. This role offers excellent exposure to capital transactions, due diligence and strategic growth initiatives within a collaborative and high-performing team.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Head of Investments and Capital Transactions, you'll be responsible for developing investment models, conducting financial and market analysis, supporting transaction activity and delivering insights that help drive informed commercial decisions across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Develop financial models and feasibility assessments to evaluate acquisitions, divestments and capital projects
Perform investment analysis, including IRR, NPV, sensitivity and scenario modelling
Support financial and commercial due diligence throughout acquisition and transaction processes
Prepare investment papers, financial analysis and presentations to support executive and investment committee decision-making
Conduct market research, analyse industry trends and identify potential investment opportunities
Partner with Finance, Legal and Operations to ensure financial modelling aligns with commercial and operational assumptions
Prepare reporting and insights for senior leadership, the Board and external stakeholders
Support governance, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives across investment activities
About You
CA or CPA qualified with a degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance, Economics or a related discipline
Experience within Business Services, Corporate Finance, Transaction Services, Deal Advisory, Valuations or a similar analytical finance environment
Strong financial modelling skills with advanced Excel capability
Excellent analytical and commercial problem-solving skills
Ability to interpret complex financial information and communicate insights clearly to stakeholders
High attention to detail with a proactive and collaborative approach
Exposure to property, real estate or investment environments will be highly regarded but is not essential
