What will you do as an optician?

A customer complains about headaches and blurry vision. You take him to the measurement room, perform an eye exam, and discover that he needs a new prescription. You calmly explain what has changed and recommend lenses with Eyezen technology for extra screen comfort. You then help him choose a new Oakley frame. A week later he returns to pick up his glasses and says: “Wow, I can see clearly again!”

As an optician, you are the specialist in eye measurements and lens advice. You work with the latest measuring equipment, continue expanding your knowledge, and help customers find the best vision solution.

During your workday, you will be:

✔️ Performing eye exams and determining the correct prescription;

✔️ Advising customers on lenses such as Transitions and on frame fitting;

✔️ Working with the latest optical technologies, such as the Eye-Ruler 2 with iPad;

✔️ Collaborating with and guiding sales colleagues and opticians in training.

Is this you?

As an optician at Pearle, you always aim for the best result. You listen carefully to the customer’s needs, perform accurate eye measurements, and find the best solution for every pair of eyes. Your mission is to make sure every customer leaves with a great feeling - and a great new pair of glasses.

For this role, you also have:

An MBO level 4 Optics diploma;

Work experience in the optical industry;

A keen eye for customer needs and sales opportunities;

A command of the Dutch language, both spoken and written, at B1 level;

A high degree of flexibility in availability due to our extended opening hours.

What you’ll receive from Pearle

A base salary starting at €2,808, rising up to €4,091 per month based on a 38-hour workweek including holiday allowance, depending on your knowledge and experience. You’ll also have opportunities to grow internally in knowledge, experience, and salary if you have the ambition!

A monthly bonus of up to 18%, based on 3 performance targets. The amount you earn depends on your salary and the goals achieved;

Travel allowance of €0,25 per kilometer;

25 vacation days when working full-time;
