Job Title: Sr Engineer – Software Verification & Validation

Company Profile:

Baxter has long been on the forefront of developing innovative solutions for patients with kidney disease. This position offers a unique and exciting opportunity to contribute to the design, development and support of Baxter’s Cloud based software that is related to our connected medicine strategy. The Cloud based software will support connectivity of medical devices (Internet-of-Things “IoT”) and mobile devices in the home and in clinics. The Cloud based software will support management of medical treatments at home/clinics and also enable management of the supply chain related to various medical treatments. The Cloud based software will also have an analytics component that will enable improved clinical outcomes and enable Baxter to develop better strategy based on deep insights.

Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for test case design, test execution, test data preparation and defect reporting to ensure coverage and quality

Contribute to test automation by developing test scripts & suites, automated execution of sanity/build acceptance/functional/regression suites, nightly batch runs, analyzing failures and fixing test issues

Capturing test metrics in every test phase and reporting status to the leads

Adherence to committed milestones and agreed scope of builds/releases by completing the assigned activities as planned

Ensure complete test coverage of SW changes/scope

Communicate test results and defect reports to stakeholders periodically

Adherence to agreed agile/scrum practices, deliverables and ceremonies and usage of JIRA (as applicable)

Requisite Skills:

7-10 years of experience in software testing (manual & automation)

Proficient in testing methodologies, processes, tools and techniques

Hands-on experience in Selenium with python or java (minimum of 5+ yrs)

Hands-on experience in API/web services testing

Knowledge of RDBMS concepts

Familiar with healthcare processes and best practices

Hands on experience in technical documentation

Experience working in agile model

Strong analytical and logical reasoning abilities

Quick learner and self-starter, able to work under minimal supervision

Good interpersonal and communication skills

Background/Experience: Bachelors in Computer Science/Software Engineering/Information Technology or a related specialization with 7-10 years of related work experience

Desired Skills:

ISTQB Certification

Experience in verification for renal care/dialysis products

Hands-on software application development experience

A demonstrated track record in regulated software development, preferably medical devices or other highly regulated products such as aviation software
