Senior Manager, SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) – Asia
Position Summary:
The Asia SIOP Senior Manager owns and leads the regional SIOP process, driving alignment across demand, supply, inventory, capacity, and financial plans to support Asia’s growth strategy. The role oversees the monthly SIOP cadence, forecast accuracy, demand-supply balancing, and executive decision-making, while governing SIOP policies, escalation management, analytics, and systems enablement. Through data-driven insights and performance metrics, the role ensures disciplined execution, improves operational KPIs, and provides clear visibility to the Asia Leadership Team.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute the Asia region’s SIOP strategy, aligning with global objectives and regional business goals.
SIOP Process Ownership: Establish and maintain a robust, data-driven SIOP process that enhances demand forecasting, supply planning, inventory management, and financial alignment.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Finance, Operations, and Supply Chain teams to create a seamless, integrated planning process that enhances service levels, reduces costs, and improves operational efficiency.
Demand & Supply Planning: Drive best-in-class demand planning methodologies, leveraging data analytics, market trends, and business intelligence. Ensure alignment of production, procurement, and distribution strategies with demand forecasts.
Inventory Optimization: Develop and implement inventory strategies that balance working capital investment with customer service levels, mitigating risks of stockouts and excess inventory.
Material Management: Oversee the planning and control of materials to ensure timely availability, minimizing supply chain disruptions while optimizing inventory levels.
Capacity Planning: Develop and manage capacity planning processes to align production capabilities with forecasted demand, ensuring efficient resource utilization.
Integration with New Product Development & End-of-Life Processes: Collaborate with product management and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of new product introductions into the SIOP process. Develop end-of-life inventory strategies to minimize obsolescence costs and optimize resource allocation.
Process & Performance Improvement: Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance forecasting accuracy, supply chain agility, and SIOP maturity. Leverage advanced analytics and digital tools to drive decision-making.
Key Performance Metrics: Monitor and drive improvements in critical SIOP performance metrics.
Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate SIOP plans, risks, and opportunities to senior leadership, ensuring alignment and proactive decision-making.
Change Management: Lead SIOP process transformations, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and data-driven decision-making.
Technology & Tools: Evaluate and integrate best-in-class SIOP software and tools to enhance planning accuracy and efficiency.
AI & Digital Transformation: Implement and leverage AI-driven solutions to optimize demand forecasting, production planning, and supply chain responsiveness.
Data & IT System Architecture: Drive data integration and IT system architecture improvements to ensure seamless connectivity between planning tools, ERP, and analytics platforms.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
BS in business administration, logistics, or operations management, or equivalent work experience
10-15 years of work experience in similar position
Excellent knowledge of planning techniques and best practices
Advanced knowledge of excel and access
Ability to travel 25%
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree with similar background preferred
Excellent leadership skills
Project management skills
Previous experience with regional matrixed companies preferred
