Business System Analyst

Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Gather, analyse, and document business and system requirements.

Conduct workshops and stakeholder discussions to understand business needs.

Prepare functional specifications, process flows, user stories, and use cases.

Analyse impacts, identify risks, and recommend suitable solutions.

Support Core Banking CASA processes, including account onboarding, maintenance, deposits, withdrawals, transfers, payments, interest, fees, overdrafts, GL postings, reconciliation, and regulatory reporting.

Work with developers, architects, and vendors to ensure solutions meet business requirements.

Support Oracle FLEXCUBE configuration, parameterisation, data mapping, and interface design.

Prepare and review SIT/UAT test scenarios and test cases.

Support defect resolution, data validation, migration, reconciliation, production deployment, and post-go-live activities.

Collaborate with business, operations, finance, compliance, technology teams, and vendors.

Track requirements, risks, issues, project progress, and obtain business sign-offs.

Requirements

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst within the banking industry.

Experience in Core Banking, CASA, Deposit Systems, or Retail Banking implementation projects.

Hands-on experience with Oracle FLEXCUBE.

Strong knowledge of CASA products, deposit systems, Accounting & General Ledger (GL) code mapping, transaction processing, and banking interfaces.

Experience in requirements gathering, functional specifications, process mapping, system integration, data migration, SIT & UAT, and production deployment.

Knowledge of SQL, APIs, data mapping, and system interfaces.

Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid delivery methodologies.

Understanding of banking regulatory and compliance requirements.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
