About the Role
Responsible for overseeing global contracts & transactions with a particular focus on M&A, commercial, IT, pharmaceutical and life science contracts. This role ensures that all agreements are strategically aligned with business objectives, comply with relevant regulations, while enabling efficient procurement and operational processes. By fostering collaboration among legal, M&A, procurement, and business teams, the drives excellence in contract governance and supports the achievement of key organizational outcomes.
Key Responsibilities & Deliverables
Lead and support cross-border M&A transactions, including legal due diligence, transaction structuring, drafting and negotiation of transaction documents, and post-closing integration activities.
Draft, review, negotiate, and manage a broad range of commercial agreements, with a strong focus on IT, technology, procurement, and pharmaceutical/life sciences contracts.
Provide practical, business-oriented legal advice to cross-functional stakeholders, balancing legal risk with commercial objectives.
Support strategic procurement initiatives by negotiating agreements with key suppliers, technology vendors, and business partners.
Partner closely with business, procurement, finance, and compliance teams to facilitate commercial transactions and strategic initiatives.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of contract templates, legal processes, and governance frameworks to enhance efficiency and consistency.
Requirements
Required Skills & Experience
Around 8-10 years’ experience of post-qualification experience in a law firm and/or multinational company, with strong focus on commercial law.
Expertise in cross-border M&A transactions and competition law.
Extensive experience in contract lifecycle management (CLM), including drafting, negotiation, and execution of complex international contracts.
Ability to provide pragmatic legal advice in a fast-paced international environment.
Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills across diverse, cross-functional teams.
Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, work independently, and deliver high-quality legal support under tight deadlines.
Advanced law degree with preference for EU admission Fluency in English (written and spoken) is essential; additional languages are a plus.
