About the position

This position supports the delivery of the Falls in Stroke Survivors (FISS) Trial, a national, multi-site randomised controlled trial evaluating the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of the Stroke Action Falls (SAF) intervention in community-dwelling stroke survivors.

Based at La Trobe University, the FISS Clinician will play a key role in delivering the SAF intervention primarily via telehealth, with potential for home visits, and supporting trial-related research activities. The role contributes to a national network of SAF-trained clinicians and collaborates closely with research teams and participating hospital sites.

The position combines clinical delivery and research support, with responsibility for ensuring high-quality participant care, adherence to trial protocols, and contribution to data collection activities.

Skills and Experience

To be considered for this position, you will have:

An undergraduate degree in any area relevant to the position (e.g., Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology), ideally with experience working in rehabilitation and with people with stroke.

Demonstrated knowledge of research processes and ability to adhere to a research protocol.

Demonstrated organisation and problem-solving skills, with an ability to manage several different projects concurrently.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to adapt communication for individuals with cognitive or communication impairments.

Familiarity with Zoom or other videoconferencing technology and ideally experience in telehealth delivery.
