The Role & The Challenge

We are seeking an exceptional, highly proactive Senior Sitecore Engineer who thrives in a high-trust, fully empowered environment. Make no mistake: this is a deeply hands-on, heavy-coding execution role. We are not looking for a passive ticket-taker or a pure slide-deck architect.

Your primary mandate will be spearheading the architecture and ground-up development of a brand-new, enterprise-grade digital platform using the latest composable Sitecore technologies. We do not micromanage, nor do we hand out pre-packaged answers. You will step into an environment where you are expected to take complete technical ownership, write production-grade code daily, and creatively solve deep architectural puzzles to get this new platform off the ground.

You are not just a solo brilliant coder; you are a foundational team player. You will lead by example, establishing engineering baselines, and naturally providing the technical mentorship needed to lift the engineering capabilities of the squads around you.

Key Responsibilities

Greenfield Platform Build: Act as the lead hands-on engineer designing, coding, and launching a brand-new enterprise platform from scratch using modern Sitecore technologies (XM Cloud / Sitecore 10+).

Deep Sitecore Integration: Architect and write code for advanced Sitecore implementations involving xConnect, xDB, and complex custom Solr search indexing strategies.

Headless & Composable Delivery: Build the new platform using a headless architecture, heavily utilising Sitecore JSS, Next.js, and integrating composable SaaS products like Sitecore Content Hub (DAM/CMP) and Sitecore CDP & Personalize.

Technical Leadership & Team Uplift: Actively mentor and elevate mid-level engineers through collaborative code reviews, pair programming, and architectural whiteboard sessions, enforcing strict Helix architecture principles.

Backend System Design: Write robust C# / .NET Core backend integrations linking the new Sitecore platform with external CRM, commerce, and bespoke microservices via REST/GraphQL APIs.

DevOps & Serialization: Implement and manage strict Sitecore item serialization (using Sitecore CLI / SCS, Unicorn, or TDS) and develop frictionless CI/CD pipelines for automated, containerised deployments.

Cloud-Native Deployment: Leverage Azure or AWS native services to deploy highly available, horizontally scalable infrastructure for the new platform to handle massive global traffic spikes.

Hands-On Execution Mindset: You are a practitioner who loves to get into the codebase. You have a proven history of independently researching architectural trade-offs and directly writing the code to build complex systems from the ground up.

Deep Sitecore Mastery: Strict, mandatory commercial experience with advanced Sitecore components. You must deeply understand the Sitecore pipeline, dependency injection, event handlers, xConnect, and xDB architecture.

Headless & Composable Expertise: Mandatory commercial experience designing and building headless solutions using Sitecore JSS (React/Next.js). Hands-on experience with Sitecore XM Cloud, Content Hub, or Sitecore CDP is highly desirable.

Architecture & Standards: Strict adherence to Sitecore Helix principles and mastery of Sitecore serialization tools (SCS, Unicorn, or TDS).

.NET Core Expertise: Deep underlying expertise in C# and the latest .NET Core frameworks.

Security & Performance: A strong track record of building secure, performant web applications, implementing effective caching strategies (Redis, CDN), and securing sensitive customer data.

Communication: Strong communication skills and a collaborative, execution-driven approach to solving enterprise digital problems.
