Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Head of Technology Services this key role will see you managing, securing, and optimising our Microsoft Azure environment, ensuring scalability, performance, reliability and cost efficiency. You will act as a technical escalation point for infrastructure-related issues and lead projects that support Fleetcare's continued growth and operational excellence.
This role will see you:
Manage, secure and optimise Fleetcare’s Microsoft Azure environment.
Lead infrastructure and cloud projects from planning through to implementation.
Act as the senior escalation point for complex infrastructure issues.
Support and enhance security, governance, disaster recovery and business continuity practices.
Administer Azure services including Defender for Cloud, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Backup and Site Recovery.
Manage identity and access controls, including RBAC and MFA.
Work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to deliver reliable technology outcomes.
Identify opportunities to automate processes, improve efficiency and reduce operational risk.
Monitor infrastructure performance and recommend improvements to support scalability, reliability and cost efficiency.
Desired Skills and Experience
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
To be successful you will bring:
Proven experience in an Infrastructure Engineer, Cloud Engineer or similar role.
Strong hands-on experience managing Microsoft Azure environments.
Solid technical knowledge across servers, networking, storage, Windows Server, Active Directory and virtualisation.
Strong troubleshooting, project delivery and vendor management capability.
A practical understanding of cloud security, governance, backup and disaster recovery.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
A continuous improvement mindset with a focus on security, reliability and customer outcomes.
Highly regarded but not essential:
Azure certifications.
Automation or scripting experience.
Python or R programming knowledge.
Experience in fleet management, leasing or related industries.
