YOUR IMPACTJoin our dynamic Variable Compensation team and play a key role in the accurate calculation, analysis, and communication of performance-based compensation for our global business units. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Variable Compensation, you will be responsible for executing complex compensation calculations, preparing accruals, and reconciling accounts. You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects throughout the year, supporting the team in maintaining accuracy, transparency, and operational excellence.
WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS
Execute complex variable compensation calculations for sales and eligible personnel in accordance with compensation plan provisions
Reconcile input and output data for system-driven calculations; may require data transformation using SQL, Python, or Xactly Connect
Support month-end processes by preparing accruals, journal entries, and account reconciliations while investigating and resolving discrepancies
Troubleshoot and resolve compensation-related issues using multiple systems while maintaining clear and auditable records
Respond to inquiries from plan participants and business partners through thorough investigation, clear analysis, and timely communication
Support special initiatives such as mergers, acquisitions, or system integrations as needed
Continuously seek opportunities to improve processes, drive efficiencies, and enhance stakeholder experience
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build collaborative relationships across teams and functions
Excellent communication skills—able to present ideas clearly and concisely to all levels of the organization, both verbally and in writing
Sharp analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and resolve complex business problems
Proficiency in Excel (intermediate to advanced required); experience with Xactly, Xactly Analytics, Xactly Connect, SQL, or Python is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative field; an advanced degree is a plus
1–2 years of experience in Compensation, Financial Analysis, or a similar data-driven role preferred

Compensation: At OpenText, we offer a thoughtfully designed benefits package that supports your physical, emotional, and financial wellbeing. As you move through the hiring process, we’re happy to provide more details about our compensation programs, including variable and commission compensation opportunities for eligible roles, vacation entitlement, and paid time off.
Salary Range: $63800-$95,600; Depending on the candidate’s education, experience, skills, geographical location, and alignment with internal equity and external market, actual salary may vary and be higher or lower than the range posted.
