Location: Indapur, Baramati, Maharashtra Salary: Up to ₹5 LPA
Job Summary
We are hiring an Engineer – ECN Implementation & Shop Floor Coordination to act as the key link between the Engineering Design team and Production Operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the Engineering Change Notice (ECN) process, coordinating implementation on the shop floor, preparing technical documentation, supporting design modifications, and ensuring smooth cross-functional communication.
Key Responsibilities ECN Management & Documentation
Review Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and evaluate their impact on manufacturing.
Execute the ECN implementation process in accordance with ISO documentation and quality standards.
Maintain and update the ECN tracking database in Microsoft Excel.
Prepare weekly ECN implementation reports and present status updates.
Technical Documentation
Prepare and update Operations Manuals for manufacturing processes.
Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and visual documentation for production teams.
Ensure documentation is accurate, standardized, and updated with engineering changes.
Engineering Design Support
Create 3D models and 2D drawings for fabrication, hydraulic, and electrical assembly brackets using Solid Edge.
Take site measurements and prepare drawings for different vehicle models.
Coordinate with the Design Team for design reviews and approvals.
Production & Quality Coordination
Communicate engineering changes clearly to production, quality, and shop floor teams.
Conduct regular shop floor audits to verify implementation of ECNs.
Ensure engineering updates are executed accurately on production vehicles.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Participate in Cross-Functional Team (CFT) meetings.
Coordinate with production and manufacturing teams for ECN implementation activities.
Support manufacturing leadership by maintaining continuity of project activities.
Prototype Development
Identify part fitment or assembly issues during prototype builds.
Report design concerns to the engineering team for corrective actions.
Monitor prototype build schedules and ensure timely completion.
Required Qualifications
Diploma or B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Automobile, or Production Engineering.
Experience:
B.E./B.Tech: 3–5 years
Diploma: 4–6 years
Experience in automotive or heavy engineering manufacturing is preferred.
