About the Role

The Executive and Operations Support Officer provides high-level executive, administrative, and operational support to the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research Infrastructure) and Director, Operations Research Infrastructure. The role supports the effective day-to-day operation of the Research Infrastructure Division through governance coordination, financial and procurement administration, stakeholder engagement, facilities management, and business systems support. Working across a diverse range of stakeholders, the position helps deliver efficient, customer-focused services that support UOW's world-class research infrastructure.

Key responsibilities:

Provide executive and administrative support, including coordinating priorities, meetings, and communications.

Support governance activities through committee administration, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.

Manage financial, procurement, HR, and business administration processes.

Coordinate facilities, operational logistics, and building services to ensure a safe and efficient environment.

About the Team

The Research Infrastructure Division sits within the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation) and provides strategic oversight of UOW's major research facilities and infrastructure. The team works collaboratively with researchers, professional staff, students, industry partners, and external stakeholders to support world-class research and innovation outcomes.

What You’ll Bring

Experience providing executive and administrative support in a complex environment.

Strong organisational skills with the ability to coordinate competing priorities and operational activities.

Experience in financial, procurement, and HR administration.

Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and business systems, including document and records management platforms.

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and maintain confidentiality.

Role Details

Employment type: Permanent/Continuing | Full-time appointable

Level 5 | Salary $85,682 - $96,898 + 17% Superannuation.

Location: Campus

Valid Australian work rights required. Visa sponsorship is not available.

This position is not suitable for remote work in accordance with the UOW Remote Working Guidelines.
