We are seeking Meter Readers to undertake reading responsibilities throughout Warrnambool and surrounding districts

About the Role

We are currently seeking Meter Readers to undertake the responsibilities of monitoring utility consumption levels of Water meters in the Warrnambool and surrounding areas. As a Meter Reader, you will be responsible for walking from property to property, to read and record utility consumption numbers in an electronic hand-held device. Take an opportunity to build your fitness on the job and work outdoors.

Key Responsibilities

Meter reading does require a level of fitness in the ability walk for long distances of up to 15-20 kilometres a day. While this level is something that can be built on over time, it is important that you have a reasonable starting fitness level to ensure that you will successfully complete our pre-employment assessments and place you in good position to acclimate to your new role.

As a Meter Reader with Service Stream, you are responsible for your own work. You will be able to demonstrate the ability to carry out the following tasks:

Plan and organise your working day and routes

Attend your allocated meter routes in a timely, and efficient pace

Represent your new brand, and our clients professionally

Communicate objectives and targets with our friendly and engaging office support teams

Upload & Download route information on a hand-held device

Carry out your work with your and other’s safety as the top priority

About You

This role will suit someone with a great attitude and work ethic, who enjoys working outdoors. No Prior Meter Reading experience is necessary, however experience with a similarly physically demanding role/hobby is ideal.
