About the role

As Organised Retail Crime (ORC) Manager, you’ll lead Coles’ organised retail crime program, helping disrupt syndicates, receivers and high-harm offenders through intelligence-led action. You’ll work closely with police, enforcement partners and internal teams to turn intelligence into coordinated operational outcomes. You’ll also lead surveillance and analytical capability, making sure activity is lawful, focused and directed to where emerging crime risks are greatest.

You will also:

Build trusted relationships with state and federal police, local commands, crime prevention forums and external crime partners.

Coordinate intelligence, evidence packs and operational liaison to support warrants, offender apprehensions and targeted interventions.

Lead the surveillance team and Organised Retail Crime Analysts, setting priorities and developing capability across offender tracking, analysis and brief preparation.

Work with the Crime Intelligence & Investigations Manager, Intelligence Operations Centre leaders and team to turn intelligence and evidence into field action. .

Partner with store operations, regional teams, loss prevention and legal stakeholders to support offender action plans.

Maintain strong information-sharing, privacy and compliance standards while delivering measurable crime reduction outcomes.

About you and your skills

You’re an experienced crime, investigations or loss prevention professional who can build strong partnerships and lead mobile operational activity with sound judgement. You communicate clearly, act with integrity and know how to bring people together around practical, intelligence-led outcomes.

You will have:

Strong experience in law enforcement liaison, investigations, surveillance, intelligence operations, crime prevention or retail loss prevention.

Previous experience using Auror is favourable

Demonstrated experience working with police or enforcement agencies on evidence development, warrants, apprehensions or action against repeat offenders.

Strong knowledge of organised retail crime, offender methodologies, surveillance practices and crime prevention partnerships.

Highly developed stakeholder management, negotiation, written communication and briefing skills.

Relevant experience in policing, criminology, investigations, intelligence, surveillance or security; formal qualifications in a related field would be advantageous.
