About the role
This position offers an exceptional opportunity to develop advanced clinical expertise in Movement Disorders while contributing to research, education and service improvement within one of Australia's leading tertiary and quaternary neurology centres. Working within a multidisciplinary team of neurologists, nurses, allied health professionals and researchers, you will play an integral role in delivering high-quality care to patients with Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders.
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:
It is expected that the Fellow will participate in a specific research project achievable over the 12 months as part of enrolment in a research higher degree.
To support the movement disorder subspecialty clinics, deep brain stimulation surgical service and movement disorder inpatient and consultation service.
To assist in assessment of participants in clinical trials.
To provide supervised Neurology services to inpatients and outpatients referred to the Neurology Services, Metro North HHS specifically at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital
To deliver services in an academic model of practice
