Clinical Nurse Consultant-Acute Inpatient Mental Health: Prevention, Response and Support (PReS)
About the role
Your new role:
As the Clinical Nurse Consultant - Mental Health, you will provide expert clinical leadership, consultancy and support to mental health inpatient services. Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, you will promote evidence-based practice, least restrictive care and improved patient outcomes. The PRES CNC role provides specialist clinical response and guidance during aggression and occupational violence events, supporting staff capability, safety and quality improvements across mental health services.
About you:
You are an experienced mental health clinician with advanced nursing knowledge, strong clinical leadership capability and a passion for delivering safe, evidence-based, person-centred care in complex mental health environments. You will have:
Demonstrated advanced clinical expertise in mental health and/or addiction nursing practice
Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence, support and develop multidisciplinary teams
Experience responding to complex clinical situations, including aggression and occupational violence risks
Sound knowledge of contemporary mental health legislation, evidence-based practice and quality improvement principles
Commitment to clinical excellence, reflective practice and improving outcomes for consumers, carers and teams
