Enrolled Nurse - Mental Health Acute Inpatient Unit

About Your Role

As an Enrolled Nurse in Yugaipa Ward, you'll play an important role in delivering safe, compassionate and evidence-based care to people experiencing acute mental health challenges.

In this role you will:

Deliver person-centred nursing care under the guidance of Registered Nurses.

Build therapeutic relationships with consumers, families and carers.

Support recovery-focused care planning and evaluation.

Monitor, document and communicate clinical observations accurately.

Promote patient safety, quality care and infection prevention practices.

Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary mental health team.

Contribute to continuous improvement and evidence-based practice.

Mentor and support Assistants in Nursing where appropriate.

Utilise Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and clinical systems effectively.

Participate in ongoing education and professional development.

About You

You're a compassionate Enrolled Nurse who enjoys working as part of a team and is passionate about supporting people experiencing mental illness.

You'll bring:

Current NMBA registration as an Enrolled Nurse with medication endorsement.

A genuine interest in mental health and addiction nursing.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities.

Sound clinical judgement within your scope of practice.

Excellent time management and organisational skills.
