About us
The Department of Justice and Community Safety (Youth Justice) is responsible for the statutory supervision of children and young people in contact with the justice system in Victoria. Children and young people who are involved in Youth Justice are either supervised in the community, or within Youth Justice custodial facilities. Youth Justice works with these children and young people to address the underlying causes of their offending behaviour and help them to achieve positive change in their lives.
Operational Policy and Workforce deliver strategic and operational support to Youth Justice frontline custodial and community workforces across reform, policy implementation, staff capability, compliance, and workforce support.
What you will do
As Lead, Learning Design, you will lead the design and delivery of learning solutions for Youth Justice.
You will support frontline staff by creating engaging learning that builds capability and improves practice.
You will:
lead a team to create engaging, accessible and inclusive learning resources
provide expert advice to leaders and subject matter experts on learning and capability
manage multiple learning projects while meeting timelines and quality standards
support high-priority reform projects and training that strengthen Youth Justice services.
About you
You will need a qualification in training, assessment, education or learning and development. A degree in human resources, business or a related field is desirable. You must also hold a current Working with Children Check and a current driver's licence.
You should also have:
extensive experience designing and delivering high-quality learning solutions
strong leadership skills with experience mentoring learning designers and managing projects
advanced skills using learning technologies including Adobe, Articulate, Lectora, Captivate and Microsoft applications
excellent communication skills, creative thinking and a commitment to inclusive learning.

Compensation
This Other role pays $129k-$141k/yr. Within typical range for other roles in Australia.
