Your responsibilities will include:

Partner closely with project accounting teams, department heads and operational managers to obtain timely, accurate and meaningful business insights, fostering strong stakeholder relationships while ensuring accountability for financial outcomes

Drive robust budgeting and forecasting processes, including summarising the financial consequences of risks and opportunities to generate scenario analysis

Take ownership over presentations and commentary issued to the Australian CFO, applying business acumen and analytical rigour to critically evaluate operational inputs and ensure concise, accurate and insightful messages to senior leadership

Calculate and present on project costing rates and resource utilisation, ensuring timely and efficient customer approval alongside minimisation of pricing risk

Lead the development, maintenance and enhancement of sophisticated financial models that allow efficient real-time monitoring of variances in project costing rates and other KPIs

Own the integrity and quality of Power BI management reporting, including maintenance of reports, development of new reports as justified by operating efficiencies, and liaison with IT over issues encountered.

About you:

Minimum of 10 years' experience as a Financial Analyst or in an equivalent senior finance role.

Strong commercial acumen, analytical curiosity, professional scepticism, and the confidence to influence stakeholders at all levels.

Outstanding analytical capability, including advanced Excel skills and strong proficiency in Power BI.

Proven ability to identify key business drivers, extract relevant data, and translate insights into meaningful recommendations.

Extensive experience analysing complex management information and providing advice on financial implications and business outcomes.

Relevant professional qualifications such as CA, CPA, CFA, CIMA or equivalent.

Demonstrated experience in a project-based finance environment (desirable), including stakeholder reporting, cost management, budget development, and financial analysis.
