About the role

To support our growth, we are looking for a suitably qualified HSE Advisor to join the Ausdrill team working in WA on a 2/2 roster FIFO ex: Perth.

Reporting to the Site Superintendent, the purpose of this role is to provide support and guidance to the Ausdrill exploration and production drilling team in relation to safety and training management, ensuring the team maintains high standards across all locations.

Role responsibilities:

Conducting field leadership activities in alignment with Ausdrill and client requirements.

Liaison with client representatives on safety and training related matters.

Engaging with the site leadership team to assist with incident investigations, action development and close out in a timely manner.

Coach/support the teams with hazard identification and risk assessments.

Champion the Critical Risk Management program

Delivering effective training and VOC assessments in the field

Assist with Fitness for Work testing (BAC, Drug and Hydration Testing)

Maintenance of data and records across various internal and client management systems.

Develop, review and update site specific HSE manuals, policies, procedures, and management plans.

A curious mind and the ability to challenge the norm

About You:

Strong organisational and presentational skills

Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills

Demonstrated and proven commitment to safety and driving positive safety culture

Knowledge of the relevant WA legislation

Excellent report writing and computer literacy and the ability to use Microsoft office proficiently

Key Requirements:

Certificate IV in WHS

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) (mandatory)

ICAM Lead investigator (mandatory)

HLTPAT005 Collect specimens for drugs of abuse testing (mandatory)

5+ years working experience in a similar role within the mining industry

A current First Aid Certificate

A current C Class drivers’ licence

A current National Police Clearance (valid within 3 months) or able to obtain one

Able to pass a pre-employment medicals
