Entry Level Underground Miner

Your journey with Barminco begins as an Entry Level Underground Miner, working as an underground truck driver and nipper. This role provides a strong foundation and genuine opportunities to progress into a variety of underground mining positions.

What You’ll Be Doing

Working offside the Jumbo Operator, assisting with the installation of bolts and mesh for ground support

Operating underground dump trucks to haul ore and waste

Completing pre‑start checks on equipment and vehicles

Learning critical underground mining skills as part of an experienced crew

Who We’re Looking For

We’d love to hear from people who:

Have experience in physically demanding roles such as trades assistants, labourers, farming, or drillers’ offsider positions

Are motivated to start a long‑term career in underground mining

Can commit to remote, rostered work on a 2:1 roster

No underground mining experience? That’s okay - if you bring the right attitude, we can provide the training.

What You’ll Need

To be successful, you must have:

Full Australian working rights

A current manual Australian driver’s licence

A National Police Clearance issued within the last three months
