About the role
As a Ward Clerk within Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol Services (MHDAS), you'll play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care across a number of our inpatient and community sites. Working as part of our dedicated MHDAS Administration Team, you'll be the first point of contact for consumers, carers, clinicians and visitors, providing professional administrative support that helps our clinical teams deliver exceptional care. This is a varied role that offers the opportunity to work across multiple locations, build strong relationships with multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to a collaborative, supportive and values-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide professional reception and administrative support to consumers, carers, visitors and multidisciplinary teams across multiple MHDAS sites.
Coordinate key administrative functions including appointments, admissions, clinical documentation and electronic patient records to support efficient service delivery.
Work collaboratively with the MHDAS Administration Team to deliver high-quality, confidential and consumer-focused administrative services.
What We Are Looking For
Excellent communication, customer service and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy healthcare environment.
Demonstrated administrative experience, strong computer skills and a commitment to maintaining accurate, confidential records.
A flexible, proactive and collaborative approach, with a genuine commitment to supporting consumers, colleagues and high-quality mental health care.
