The Opportunity

This position works out of our Neustadt, Germany or Basel, Switzerland location in our medicines business, where we are seeking a strategic and collaborative procurement leader to join our Global Procurement & Third-Party Manufacturing Organization and help shape the future of our global supply network. This is a highly visible global leadership role responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies for critical raw materials and packaging components supporting one of Abbott's most important pharmaceutical franchises.

What You'll Do

Shape and execute global sourcing strategies for critical pharmaceutical materials and suppliers.

Build strategic supplier partnerships and lead complex commercial negotiations.

Drive supply security, risk management, and sustainable cost optimization.

Partner with senior leaders across Abbott to deliver business and operational objectives.

Influence decision-making through market intelligence, business insights, and data-driven recommendations.

Lead high-impact procurement transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.

Champion a culture of collaboration, compliance, innovation, and operational excellence across the supplier network.

What You'll Bring

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field

Significant experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or supplier management within a regulated industry

Experience leading complex supplier negotiations and managing strategic supplier relationships

Demonstrated success influencing senior stakeholders in a global matrix environment

Strong business acumen with experience balancing commercial, operational, quality, and regulatory priorities

Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, life sciences, or manufacturing environments

Experience managing global categories and international supplier networks

Professional fluency in English
