Job Description:

The Planning & Execution Team Member II is responsible for the flow of work through the machine shop and oversees requests for outsourcing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Create and release manufactured parts out of MRP and schedules all work requests.

Schedule and expedite late releases and monitor changes to requests.

Release and schedule manufactured warranty requests.

Work in conjunction with manufacturing to optimize capacity in the machine shop for core work.

Level load all work centers in the machine shop.

Route and schedule engineering change notices.

Determine best machining practices and what can be reworked, then route and schedule internal and external manufactured requests (Backup/Support)

Serve as a technical resource for the manufacturing team and customers on manufactured parts (Backup/Support)

Effectively communicate with internal customers on the status of manufactured parts.

Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Associate degree in machine tool/fabrication technology or a related field and three years of related experience, or a high school diploma/GED and five years of manufacturing experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

Knowledge of raw material types and machining principles.

Knowledge of machining processes such as chrome/nickel plating, hardening, and stress relieving.

Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize effectively.

Metallurgical knowledge is a plus.

Knowledge of XA and MRP are desired.

This position does not directly supervise other associates.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Stand, walk, bend, squat, twist, reach or otherwise move about frequently

Occasional repetitive motion and grasping

Occasional climbing to reach areas on machines or racks

Lift, move or otherwise transfer up to 50 lbs. occasionally, >20 lbs. frequently

Typically sits, grasps items or performs keyboarding for occasional operation of a computer

Exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards which may require respiratory protection
