Role: Food Service Assistant (Term - time) Part-time (Weekend)

Working Pattern: 06.30am - 14.30pm / 11.00am - 19.00pm

Hours Per Week: 20 hours

Rate of Pay: 14.15 per hour

Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Food Service Assistant to join our team in St Columba's College, Whitechurch, Dublin 16, Ireland. As a vital member of our food service operations, you will contribute to creating a positive dining experience for our customers while maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.

Assist in food preparation, including washing, cutting, and portioning ingredients

Serve meals and beverages to customers in a friendly and efficient manner

Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper functioning

Follow food safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a hygienic work environment

Restock serving lines, condiment stations, and dining areas as needed

Assist with inventory management and storage of food items and supplies

Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service

Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries and concerns

Participate in cleaning and organizing kitchen and dining areas

Assist with special events and catering services as required

Qualifications

Food handling experience

Previous experience in food service or hospitality industry preferred

Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices

Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and work schedules

Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management

Physical stamina to stand, walk, and lift up to 25 pounds for extended periods

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment

Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
