Production Manager – Tent Manufacturing Facility

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Production Manager to lead our tent manufacturing operations. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day production of high-quality canvas and fabric structures, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

· Plan, coordinate, and oversee all production activities to meet customer delivery deadlines.

· Manage production schedules, capacity planning, and workflow across cutting, sewing, welding, assembly, and finishing operations.

· Lead, motivate, and develop production supervisors and manufacturing staff.

· Monitor production performance, labour efficiency, and material utilisation.

· Ensure products meet company quality standards and customer specifications.

· Implement Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

· Manage inventory with procurement and warehouse teams.

· Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality systems.

· Prepare production reports and KPIs.

· Work closely with engineering, design, procurement, quality assurance, and sales teams.

Skills and Experience

Essential:

Minimum 5 years' production management experience.

Strong leadership and planning skills.

Knowledge of quality systems and ERP/MRP software.

Desirable:

Experience in textile, canvas, industrial sewing, or tent manufacturing.

Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma training.

Relevant manufacturing or engineering qualification.
