Role Overview

As a UI/UX Designer, you will work closely with the founding team, product stakeholders, and engineering team to improve and evolve the user experience across FixZep’s Customer App, Technician App, Admin Portal, and future products.

You will be responsible for understanding user behavior, simplifying complex workflows, creating beautiful interfaces, and ensuring consistency across all digital products.

Key Responsibilities

Product Discovery

·Understand business goals and user requirements.

Participate in requirement discussions with the founding team.

Convert business ideas into user-centric experiences.

Conduct competitor analysis and UX benchmarking.

Identify usability improvements in existing applications.

User Experience (UX)

Create user flows.

Design customer journeys.

Create wireframes.

Create low-fidelity prototypes.

Improve existing workflows.

Conduct heuristic evaluations.

Identify UX pain points.

Simplify user interactions.

Improve task completion rates.

Design accessible user experiences.

User Interface (UI)

Design modern mobile interfaces.

Design responsive web interfaces.

Create reusable UI components.

Build and maintain Design Systems.

Define typography.

Define color palettes.

Define spacing systems.

Create icon libraries.

Design reusable layouts.

Maintain visual consistency.

Prototyping

Create interactive prototypes.

Present design concepts.

Demonstrate user flows.

Validate design decisions with stakeholders.

Iterate designs based on feedback.

Collaboration

Work closely with the founding team.

Collaborate with Product Owners.

Collaborate with Software Engineers.

Collaborate with QA Engineers.

Participate in sprint planning.

Participate in design reviews.

Support development during implementation.

Ensure pixel-perfect implementation.

Product Improvement

Review existing applications.

Identify UX issues.

Recommend usability improvements.Improve booking flow.

Improve onboarding experience.

Improve customer retention.

Improve technician experience.

Improve admin usability.

Improve conversion through better UX.

Required Skills

Must Have

2–5 years of UI/UX Design experience.

Strong portfolio showcasing Web and Mobile applications.

Expert knowledge of Figma.

Strong understanding of UX principles.

Experience creating wireframes.

Experience creating high-fidelity UI.

Experience creating interactive prototypes.

Experience designing Design Systems.

Strong understanding of responsive design.

Mobile-first design approach.

Understanding of Material Design and Human Interface Guidelines.

Excellent visual design skills.

Strong typography and color theory knowledge.

Excellent communication skills.

AI-Enabled Design

Exposure to AI-assisted design tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, Figma AI, Cursor AI, Midjourney, Adobe Firefly, or similar tools to improve productivity and design workflows is an added advantage.
