Summary of the role

As a Software Engineer, he/she will be responsible for ensuring the appropriate delivery of Applications within their area of responsibility.

About the Job

Understand business requirements and analyze relevant processes in one's own area of responsibility

Consolidate requirements in related areas of responsibility, support prioritization and increase response time to business needs

Identify opportunities to simplify applications (pertinent to each area of responsibility) with a view to removing complexity from the organization and improving productivity

Work closely with Process Engineers and Subject Matter Experts from businesses across TSS to understand the application requirements

Participate in feasibility studies (change requests) for system enhancements

Work closely with ERP Competency Center, Project Teams, IT Project Management Office to coordinate/support technical implementation.

Developing new web applications as per the business needs

Maintain the existing applications and handle change requests.

Document functionality, create application manuals.

About the Ideal Candidate

Education & Experience:

3 years of hands-on experience in ASP.NET and .NET application development. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology or equivalent.

Experience in developing and maintaining web applications.

Good knowledge of MySQL database design, writing queries, and optimization.

Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and AJAX.

Understanding of RESTful APIs and client-server architecture.

Familiarity with debugging, testing, and performance optimization. Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git) is an added advantage.

Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment.

Capability to understand business requirements and deliver quality solutions within deadlines. Commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and efficient code
