Your Job

Molex is seeking a skilled Stamping Toolmaker to support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of high-speed stamping dies used in our manufacturing operations. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring tooling reliability, product quality, and production efficiency while collaborating closely with production, engineering, quality, and tooling teams.

Our Team

You will join our manufacturing team supporting stamping operations, working closely with Toolmakers, Production, Die Designers, and Quality teams to ensure reliable tooling performance and continuous operational improvement.

What You Will Do

Perform preventive maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of high-speed stamping dies to ensure optimum tooling performance, reliability, and uptime.

Diagnose tooling and die-related issues, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective actions to minimize production disruptions.

Support die setup, qualification, handover, and validation activities to ensure smooth introduction of new or modified tooling into production.

Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Die Design teams to resolve technical challenges and support manufacturing objectives.

Participate in production event investigations and quality improvement activities, identifying tooling-related root causes and recommending sustainable solutions.

Monitor tooling performance and manufacturing processes, proactively identifying opportunities to improve quality, productivity, tooling life, and cost efficiency.

Support die design reviews and tooling modification activities by providing hands-on manufacturing and maintenance expertise.

Perform precision machining, grinding, drilling, fitting, and adjustment activities required for die maintenance and repair.

Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior toolmakers, sharing best practices and troubleshooting knowledge to strengthen team capability.

Maintain high standards of safety, workmanship, documentation, and housekeeping while supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the stamping operation.

Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

NTC 3 in Metal Machining or equivalent trade certification.

Minimum 5 years of experience in tooling, die maintenance, stamping operations, or a related manufacturing environment.

Experience in high-speed stamping die maintenance, repair, and setup.

Hands-on machining skills including grinding, drilling, fitting, and tooling adjustments.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.

What Will Put You Ahead

10+ years of experience in stamping tool and die maintenance.

Experience supporting high-volume precision stamping operations.

Exposure to die design review, tooling modification, and continuous improvement projects.

Experience conducting root cause investigations and implementing corrective actions.

Ability to mentor and develop junior toolmakers.
