We are seeking a QA Engineer to join a chemical manufacturing company based in Tuas, conveniently located within walking distance from the MRT. This is a permanent, full-time role operating on a Monday to Friday schedule (8:30am – 5:30pm), offering a competitive salary package with allowances, AWS, and variable bonus, along with a stable 5-day work week that supports work-life balance.
What You’ll Be Doing
Oversee incoming inspections and assess supplier quality, identifying trends and driving improvement initiatives.
Monitor product quality throughout the production cycle using SPC to ensure adherence to customer specifications.
Maintain and update QA documentation in compliance with ISO standards and internal quality systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address and resolve quality-related issues.
Ensure QA data and records are accurate, complete, and aligned with established procedures.
Investigate quality concerns, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
Support customer enquiries by preparing and coordinating required quality documentation.
Prepare and review documents such as COA and reports in line with procedures and customer expectations.
Manage customer complaints by conducting investigations and ensuring timely, well-documented resolutions.
Coordinate sample evaluations and ad-hoc sampling, analysing results to support decision-making.
Plan and participate in internal and external audits to maintain compliance and audit readiness.
Conduct risk assessments, FMEA, and training activities while contributing to continuous improvement efforts.
Promote and actively participate in company quality and EHS programmes.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support business operations.
What We’re Looking For
Diploma or Degree in Chemical, Science, or a related field.
At least 2–3 years of relevant working experience in a similar role.
Strong understanding of quality control methodologies and statistical analysis techniques.
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage stakeholders effectively.
Familiarity with ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO45001 standards is advantageous.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
