About the role

Job Location: 525 Collins Street, Melbourne

The Finance Analyst provides financial business partnering support through budget and forecasting development, performance monitoring, analysis, reporting, and project/program financial management. The role applies professional judgement to provide advice, guidance, and insights that support informed decision-making and improved business performance.

The role manages financial processes including contract payments, compliance, reporting, and stakeholder queries while maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. It provides financial advice, resolves issues, supports policy compliance, and contributes to effective financial management across the organisation.

Applies critical thinking and problem-solving skills to interpret information, resolve challenges, and make informed decisions.

Builds strong stakeholder relationships by understanding needs, providing value, resolving issues, and supporting positive outcomes.

Applies financial expertise to review and analyse financial information, including budgets and variance reports, to support sound decision-making.

Qualifications and experience

You’ll bring:

Relevant Finance or Accounting degree which includes all foundation requirements for entry into CPA Program (desirable)

Membership of CPA or CA (desirable)

Pre-employment checks and employment conditions

Relevant pre-employment screening and reference checks will be required.

Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa necessary for the nature of the position.

Recipients of Victorian Public Service (VPS) voluntary departure packages should note that re-employment restrictions apply.
