About the Role:
The role of Category/Brand Controller acts as a strategic business partner to Category, Sales and Marketing teams, providing financial leadership, insights and decision support to drive sustainable growth and profitability across our portfolio. The position plays a key role in shaping business decisions by translating financial data into actionable recommendations, supporting commercial strategies, and identifying opportunities to optimize performance.
Main Responsibilities:
Partner with Category, Marketing and Sales teams to support strategic and operational decision-making
Provide financial insights and challenge to support brand strategies, innovation pipelines, product launches and commercial investments
Evaluate business opportunities and recommend actions to maximise profitability and sustainable growth
Support portfolio and SKU profitability analysis to identify risks and opportunities
Lead and coordinate budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning activities
Support P&L planning across categories, customers and product portfolios
Deliver detailed performance analysis, including profitability, variance, cost-benefit and return-on-investment assessments
Monitor key business drivers and provide recommendations to improve financial performance
Prepare and communicate financial reports, scorecards and performance dashboards
Provide actionable insights into category and brand performance
Highlight risks, opportunities and trends to support informed business decisions
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in line with business and Group requirements
Support financial governance and ensure adherence to internal control requirements
Oversee and maintain financial and master data integrity across relevant systems
Manage costing, transfer pricing and product profitability processes
Support internal and external audit requirements as needed
Foster a collaborative, accountable and continuous improvement mindset
Support capability development and succession planning
About You:
University degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Business or a related discipline
Strong experience in Finance, Commercial Finance, Controlling or Financial Planning & Analysis
Experience within FMCG, Consumer Goods or a similarly fast-paced industry is highly regarded
Experience partnering with Sales, Marketing or Commercial teams within a complex business environment
Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and management reporting
Commercial acumen with the ability to influence stakeholders and challenge constructively
Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities
Advanced MS Office skills, experience with SAP and financial planning systems (Oracle, Hyperion or similar)
