Sr Full Stack - Java API + React - New York

Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in Java backend development and React frontend development. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications using modern technologies and best practices. This role requires close collaboration with product managers, UX designers, QA, and DevOps teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain full-stack web applications using Java, Spring Boot, and React.

Build scalable RESTful APIs and microservices for enterprise applications.

Develop responsive, reusable, and user-friendly interfaces using React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.

Collaborate with product, UX/UI, QA, and DevOps teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and third-party services.

Optimize application performance, scalability, security, and responsiveness.

Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following coding standards and best practices.

Develop unit, integration, and end-to-end tests to ensure application quality.

Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical design sessions.

Troubleshoot production issues and support application deployments.

Contribute to CI/CD automation and DevSecOps practices.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

5–8+ years of experience in full-stack application development.

Strong proficiency in Java (11/17) and Spring Boot.

Extensive experience designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservices.

Strong hands-on experience with React.js and modern JavaScript (ES6+) or TypeScript.

Experience with Redux, Context API, or other state management libraries.

Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and UI development best practices.

Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.

Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB is a plus.

Experience with Git, Maven/Gradle, and Agile development methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments.

Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.

Knowledge of messaging platforms such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.

Experience with GraphQL is a plus.

Familiarity with authentication and authorization using OAuth2, JWT, and OpenID Connect.

Exposure to performance monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or ELK Stack.

AWS, Azure, Java, or React certifications.

Compensation, Benefits and Duration

Minimum Compensation: USD 40,000

Maximum Compensation: USD 140,000

Compensation is based on actual experience and qualifications of the candidate. The above is a reasonable and a good faith estimate for the role.
