Sr React Developer- New York

Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior React Developer to join our team in New York. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience building modern, responsive, and high-performance web applications using React and related frontend technologies. You will collaborate with product managers, UX/UI designers, backend engineers, and QA teams to deliver exceptional user experiences for enterprise-scale applications.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain responsive web applications using React.js.

Build reusable, modular, and maintainable UI components.

Develop new features and optimize existing applications for performance and scalability.

Integrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs and GraphQL services.

Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and designs into high-quality user interfaces.

Implement responsive design and ensure cross-browser compatibility.

Write clean, testable, and well-documented code following frontend best practices.

Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, and sprint planning.

Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, bugs, and usability issues.

Work closely with backend, DevOps, QA, and product teams throughout the software development lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

5–8+ years of frontend development experience.

4+ years of hands-on experience with React.js in production environments.

Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.

Experience with React Hooks, Context API, and state management libraries such as Redux or Zustand.

Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, Sass, and responsive web design.

Experience integrating RESTful APIs and GraphQL.

Familiarity with modern frontend build tools such as Vite, Webpack, Babel, and npm/yarn.

Experience with Git and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Next.js and server-side rendering (SSR).

Familiarity with micro-frontend architecture.

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

Knowledge of authentication and authorization using OAuth2, JWT, and OpenID Connect.

Experience with accessibility (WCAG), performance optimization, and SEO best practices.

Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments.

Knowledge of frontend security best practices and secure coding standards.

Experience mentoring junior developers and leading frontend initiatives.

React, JavaScript, or cloud-related certifications.

Compensation, Benefits and Duration

Minimum Compensation: USD 40,000

Maximum Compensation: USD 140,000

Compensation is based on actual experience and qualifications of the candidate. The above is a reasonable and a good faith estimate for the role.
