About the Team:

The Semiconductors, Technology & Electronic Components team is responsible for defining and managing global semiconductor and electronic component strategies that support current and future product platforms. The team works closely with suppliers, engineering, quality, and manufacturing organizations to ensure component reliability, compliance, supply continuity, and technology competitiveness. By leveraging deep technical expertise and strong industry partnerships, the team enables robust and innovative product development.

What you can look forward to as Semiconductor & Electronic Component Specialist:

Develop and execute global strategies for semiconductor and electronic components, including selection, evaluation, approval, and lifecycle management

Serve as the technical expert for customer engagements, business growth initiatives, and component-related issue resolution

Influence supplier roadmaps and specifications to align with future product requirements and technology strategies

Define and support component qualification, validation, testing, and functional safety compliance activities

Manage component lifecycle risks, including obsolescence, second sourcing, and long-term supply continuity

Lead supplier development and performance improvement activities while ensuring compliance with customer and internal requirements

Provide technical guidance to engineering teams on component selection, alternatives, and best practices

Maintain component data, documentation, and approval workflows using Siemens EDM or equivalent systems while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards

Your Profile as Semiconductor & Electronic Component Specialist:

Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering or a related technical discipline

Minimum 5 years of experience in semiconductor or electronic component development, preferably within the automotive industry

Strong knowledge of semiconductor technologies, including IC design, wafer fabrication, assembly, and testing processes

Proven experience in component selection, qualification, validation, and lifecycle management

Familiarity with automotive and semiconductor industry standards such as AEC-Q100, 8D problem solving, failure analysis, and advanced testing methodologies

Understanding of semiconductor supply chains, supplier management, and electronic component sourcing strategies

Working knowledge of Siemens EDM or similar component data management systems, as well as REACH and RoHS compliance requirements

Business-level proficiency in spoken and written Japanese and English, with strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills
