Senior Software Engineer (4Pifej)

About the Roles

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a manufacturing and production environment based in Redhill, conveniently located near the MRT. This is a permanent position offering a 5-day work week with flexible hours, along with a competitive salary package including bonuses. The role is ideal for someone experienced in system-level development who enjoys working closely with both software and hardware teams.

What You’ll Be Doing

Develop and maintain middleware components that bridge hardware, drivers, and application layers using C++ and Qt.

Leverage Qt libraries such as QtCore, QtNetwork, QtSerialBus, and QtConcurrent to build system and communication functionalities.

Work closely with hardware and system teams to ensure seamless integration across components.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to software and hardware interactions.

Participate in system integration, testing, validation, and deployment of middleware solutions.

Carry out additional duties as assigned by management.

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.

At least 5 years of relevant experience in software development within Electrical/Electronic Engineering environments.

Strong proficiency in C, C++, and object-oriented programming principles.

Hands-on experience with Qt frameworks, including QtCore, QtNetwork, QtWidgets, and QML.

Practical experience in middleware or system-level software development.

Solid understanding of Linux systems, including shell tools and debugging techniques.

Familiarity with hardware-software communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, USB, and Ethernet.

Experience using version control systems and issue tracking tools.
