Your New Role

We're looking for a Senior Accessibility Specialist to help shape the future of accessible digital experiences at AustralianSuper. This is a 24-month max-term opportunity where you'll join at the foundation stage of a new Design System, embedding accessibility from the ground up rather than retrofitting existing solutions. Working closely with Design, Product and Technology teams, you'll drive inclusive design practices, conduct accessibility audits, influence remediation strategies and ensure our digital experiences align with WCAG 2.2 AA standards. This is an opportunity to create lasting impact for members while helping establish accessibility as a core capability across the Fund.

In This Role, You'll:

Embed accessibility standards and best practices across the Design System aligned to WCAG 2.2 AA requirements.

Partner with designers and engineers to ensure reusable components are accessible and inclusive by design.

Conduct accessibility audits across web, mobile and digital experiences to identify opportunities for improvement.

Work closely with Product Owners and delivery teams to prioritise and remediate accessibility issues.

Provide expert guidance on accessibility, inclusive design, usability and digital experience best practices.

Educate and uplift teams across Product, Design and Technology, championing a culture of accessibility and inclusion.

What You’ll Need:

Proven experience in accessibility, inclusive design or accessibility engineering within digital product environments.

Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1 and 2.2 standards and their practical application.

Experience conducting accessibility audits and partnering with teams to deliver remediation outcomes.

Deep understanding of accessibility testing tools, assistive technologies and manual testing approaches.

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and educate others.

Experience working collaboratively across Design, Product and Engineering teams, ideally within a complex or regulated environment.
