About the role

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to support the delivery and governance of multiple small to medium-sized projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving effective project execution, ensuring strong governance, managing project financials, engaging stakeholders, and delivering outcomes within agreed timelines and budgets.

This role requires a highly organised and proactive professional with strong project management experience and the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the end-to-end delivery of multiple small to medium-sized projects, ensuring successful outcomes.

Establish and maintain effective project governance frameworks, processes, reporting, and controls.

Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, risks, issues, and dependencies.

Monitor and manage project financials, including budget tracking, forecasting, cost control, and reporting.

Engage and manage relationships with key stakeholders, project sponsors, business teams, vendors, and technical teams.

Coordinate project resources and ensure delivery activities are aligned with business objectives.

Prepare regular project status reports, dashboards, and executive updates.

Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues, implementing appropriate mitigation strategies.

Ensure projects are delivered in line with organisational standards, policies, and governance requirements.

Drive continuous improvement across project delivery practices.

Essential Skills & Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in project management roles.

Demonstrated experience in:

Project governance and delivery frameworks.

Project financial management, budgeting, and cost tracking.

Stakeholder engagement and relationship management.

Managing risks, issues, dependencies, and project reporting.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently across different business areas.

Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and effectively manage competing priorities.

Experience working with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.

Desirable Experience

Previous experience within the Utilities industry, particularly Asset Management environments.

Technical knowledge or hands-on experience with systems such as:

Ellipse

Xugo

ArcGIS

Experience delivering technology-enabled or operational improvement projects.

Location Requirement

Candidates must be based in Perth, Australia and available to work locally.

Contract Details

Initial 3-month contract.

Potential opportunity for extension based on project requirements and performance.

Pay: From $700.00 per day

Work Location: Hybrid remote in Perth WA
