About the role
Description
As we enter the next phase of growth, we are looking for a LATAM Network Expansion Director to significantly and enhance this network, a seasoned payments professional who understands the full spectrum of payment types in the region: corporate payouts, real-time payment schemes, high-value transactions, and mobile wallets.
You will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and be the key driver in identifying, negotiating, and onboarding new payment partners across the region, including licensed fintechs, acquiring banks, mobile network operators, and wallet providers.
What You Will Do
Map, evaluate and sign new payout partners across all LATAM countries to broaden our payment capabilities beyond the existing remittance network.
Identify and onboard licensed payment institutions, fintechs, banks and mobile network operators capable of supporting corporate, high-value, and real-time payment flows.
Build and leverage an existing network of industry contacts to accelerate partner acquisition and go-to-market timelines.
Work closely with the company´s leadership to define market entry priorities, partnership structures, and commercial terms.
Monitor the competitive and regulatory landscape across LATAM markets and provide strategic input on network expansion decisions.
Stay ahead of emerging payment trends, including stablecoins wallets and settlement, and new real-time payment schemes and assess their viability for network integration across LATAM markets.
Help maintain existing partner relationships across the region, including attending to operational matters and coordinating their resolution within the internal team.
Represent the company in industry events, forums, and partner meetings across the region.
What We Are Looking For
Experience & Background
7+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or network development within the payments industry.
Proven track record of signing and managing payment partners across Latin America.
Hands-on experience with a wide range of LATAM payment types: corporate payouts, real-time payment rails, high-value transfers, and mobile wallet integrations.
Strong knowledge of local and regional payment schemes (e.g. PIX, SPEI, PSE, CoDi, and other real-time and batch systems) and the ability to position network capabilities to support them.
Existing relationships with licensed payment institutions, fintechs, acquiring banks, and/or mobile network operators across the region.
Strong understanding of the regulatory environment governing payment companies in key LATAM markets.
Knowledge & Skills
Ability to evaluate and structure commercial partnership agreements with payment service providers.
Strong analytical and commercial acumen, able to assess partner viability, network coverage gaps, and revenue potential.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills; comfortable operating at senior levels internally and externally.
Languages
Fluent in Spanish and English (written and spoken). Portuguese is a plus.

Location & Working Model
This is a fully remote position. Candidates must be based in Latin America. Regular travel across the region is expected to meet partners, attend industry events, and drive relationships.
