We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Product Manager - Global Trade Solutions
In this role, you will:
Maintain a robust and efficient control environment across GTS product organisation to ensure good operational, financial management and compliance to HSBC policy and procedures
Build and maintain a prioritised roadmap (client value, revenue impact, risk reduction, regulatory/mandatory change, tech resilience). Own and lead multiple initiatives and reviews across GTS product suite to deliver results
Support pricing/fees analysis (with appropriate approvals). Monitor product performance and adoption; identify opportunities to grow usage and improve client experience
Work with relevant stakeholders in driving digital agenda across HTS commercialisation, channel enablement, pricing automation and increase straight-through processing.
Drive simplification and digitisation of trade workflows and client self-service where feasible. Ensure all new product launches and changes comply with relevant policies, legal/regulatory requirements, and operational resilience standards.
Managing ongoing product governance reviews, effectiveness and management of GTS Product policies and procedures and in providing guidance and support to global and country business owners.
Maintain governance artefacts and audit evidence (product approvals, change records, procedures, controls attestations). Coordinate with appropriate governance forums, review of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Proactively challenging practices / controls operated by onshore/offshore functions, identifying gaps, and making recommendations for continuous improvement of control environment.
To be successful, you will:
An undergraduate or post-graduate qualifications in related fields
Trade finance product management, proposition, operations, or platform delivery experience (LCs, Guarantees/SBLCs, Collections, SCF).
Strong understanding of trade workflows, documentation concepts and operational processes. Strong analytical skills especially in understanding business processes, P&L, client management and product management
Experience in leading and delivering project or programs in your current role is desirable
Ability to prioritise and work independently under pressure within a global matrix team environment. Ability to use strong judgmental skills to identify and resolve complex problems whilst adhering to timelines and quality of output
Good interpersonal skills required, with an ability to collaborate with colleagues across segments and geographies being essential. Good GTS product knowledge and understanding of product risks is desirable
Comfortable using data to prioritise work and measure outcomes. Trade finance qualifications / knowledge (e.g. ICC rules awareness) beneficial
