Job Summary

We are seeking a Director to join our Financing Solutions team at Standard Chartered Bank in Singapore. The successful candidate will be working with Executive Directors & Managing Directors within the Financing Solutions teams across the globe as well as other team members to drive origination, develop strong client relationships and be seen as an expert in Financing Solutions by internal and external stakeholders.

The candidate will need to be able to build a team of Financing Solutions professionals, who will need to support origination and execution efforts, as well as leading the Financing Solutions origination efforts. The candidate will further have to focus on building a sustainable business, developing and on-boarding new clients while focusing further on the business by up-tiering existing relationships. Working with client teams and across products to identify, target transactions and cross-sell opportunities in the region will be another task of the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities

Provide support in origination activities in association with Executive Directors / Managing Directors

Lead / Manage the execution of Financing Solutions transactions from the pitch phase through to closing including due diligence, credit and business approvals, term sheet drafting, legal documentation, preparation and presentation of information memoranda, and deal closing processes

Perform financial and valuation analyses using various methodologies

Build detailed financial models to evaluate performance under various operating scenarios and to analyze the impacts of different capital structures and potential financing, debt capital markets or M&A transactions

Support the preparation of presentation materials for use in client meetings, covering topics such as strategic alternatives, capital markets activity and general corporate finance

Maintain up to date knowledge on clients and targets

Research and analysis of markets and industries

Research and financial analysis of companies based on company information, research reports, and other information sources

Coordinate efforts with deal team members across the Bank

Complete all required credit and regulatory examinations

Our Ideal Candidate

8 plus years of experience in the structuring and origination areas.

Loan markets and lending products knowledge.

Knowledge of developing business and on-boarding new clients.

Financing Solutions origination experience in Latin America is a big plus.

Managing, identifying and targeting transactions and cross-sell opportunities.

Leading and building a new team experience.

Experience in tracking transaction structures as per the client requirements.

Business and risk management process knowledge .
