About the role

The primary accountabilities of the Principal Project Officer (Human Resources) include:

Lead and coordinate the delivery of the human resources project deliverables, ensuring timely implementation of workforce related recommendations and successful transition and organisational human resource activities across Community Corrections.

Manage the delivery of contemporary, and fit-for-purpose people and workforce strategies and practices through informed, value-based decision-making including HR data for project delivery.

Provide strong generalist and strategic human resources and employee relations advice to senior managers to inform the development and implementation of workforce strategy actions that support implementation of the role description review initiative.

Initiate, influence and maintain strategic partnerships and consultation with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate designated projects and implementation of project recommendations.

Navigate complex situations and competing priorities in the production of high quality project deliverables which remain aligned with the intent and integrity of the command's, contemporary HR practices, and legislative and industrial frameworks.

Work in partnership with the People Capability Command to ensure consistency in the application of tailored HR approaches and targeted solutions that incorporate legislative requirements and HR policy, to support successful state-wide organisational re-design.

Prepare high quality reports, briefing notes, and presentations on designated project outcomes, findings, and recommendations.

Coordinate the documentation and processes to ensure the procurement requirements are completed and within QCS policy and procedure.

Lead the preparation of HR project reports for key internal and external stakeholders to inform the progress and status of business readiness relating to the transition.

Undertake any other duties as assigned.
