Senior Financial Analyst – Operations Finance

Position Summary
The Senior Financial Analyst role is an integral position in the financial operations team. This role is critical to help drive analytics and decision making within the Operations space based upon the measurement of financial data. This position is tasked to assist the Operations Finance team with performing month and quarter end close processes/ journal entries/ reconciliations as well as building out and providing ongoing financial metrics and data points so that business strategies can be refined and improved. The Senior Financial Analyst must also be available to help develop custom reporting and provide fact-based guidance upon request for various business purposes.
Core Duties and Responsibilities
Develop cost reporting processes for the communication of monthly/quarterly actual results vs budget for the inventory/warehousing/and supply chain teams
Analyze sales order, purchase order, and work order ERP configurations to ensure accurate and timely reporting
Responsible for Inventory accuracy and KPIs
Budget and Forecast costs. Work with Operations teams to accurately forecast financial data. Ensure accurate standard costs
Work with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Engineering on cost-out activities to drive profitability
Summarize cost drivers and work with operations managers in developing assessment of performance
Review and maintain freight in inventory balances and proactively work with logistics team to drive cost down efforts and develop freight standards
Leverage Business Intelligence tools to reduce manual work and automate financial reporting
Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis as defined by the Operations leadership team for business needs
Develop and grow strong cross-functional relationships to ensure the achievement of department and business objectives through collaboration and communication
Provide relevant, accurate, and timely financial information to management for decision making
Represent Plug Power in a professional manner at all times and in all interactions
Perform all other duties as assigned
Education and Experience
Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance
Four (4) or more years of related work experience including experience within manufacturing operations
Financial systems ERP experience
Cost Accounting experience
Demonstrated analytical abilities with strong attention to detail
Superior communication skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office software
Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task effectively
Ability to role model high standards of professionalism
Excellent follow-through
Must be driven and self-motivated
Must possess the highest ethical standards and a commitment to work quality
Pay Rate:
$72,000.00 - $112,500.00
