The Upstream Product Manager drives the execution of new product initiatives that advance the Advanced Wound Care Restorative Healing Technologies (RHT) Franchise’s Build/Buy strategy and long-term innovation priorities. This role is accountable for marketing strategy, execution, and deliverables for new product initiatives and business development opportunities from concept through commercialization. This role requires strong financial and business acumen, a deep understanding of clinical value propositions, and the ability to integrate cross-functional inputs to shape product concepts that are commercially and clinically compelling. Responsibilities include the following:
Portfolio & Project Ownership
Own innovation and marketing strategy and deliverables across multiple complex projects
Shape the development of target product profiles (TPPs), value propositions, positioning, and business cases that are financially rigorous and evidence-based
Integrate clinical insights into marketing strategy, ensuring product concepts reflect patient outcomes, medical need, and clinical evidence
Execute market opportunity analyses, including competitive assessment, market potential, and unmet need identification
Prioritize geographic launch markets based on commercial potential, regulatory pathway, and operational readiness
Financial & Strategic Accountability
Build robust business cases, including revenue projections, NPV analyses, cost-of-goods considerations, and pricing strategies
Partner with Finance to model project scenarios and assess the financial impact of strategic choices
Identify risks and opportunities that may impact financial, clinical, or operational outcomes
Cross-Functional Leadership & Influence
Serve as the primary marketing liaison on the new product core team
Align marketing inputs with cross-functional plans, timelines, and operational constraints
Collaborate with PMO to ensure stage-gate readiness
Partner with Global Downstream and Regional Marketing to provide launch readiness input, market prioritization guidance, and go-to-market strategy alignment
Work with R&D, Regulatory, and Medical Affairs to ensure clinical feasibility, safety, and evidence integration
Coordinate with Supply Chain and R&D to assess cost-of-goods assumptions, product availability, scale-up needs, and global launch readiness
Your skills and expertise
These are the core capabilities and experiences essential to make an impact:
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited University
Five (5) years of progressive experience in upstream and downstream product marketing in MedTech, healthcare, wound care, or related FDA-regulated healthcare markets
“Nice to Have” Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Business Management
Strong financial and business case acumen, including revenue modeling, NPV analyses, and pricing strategies
Experience with stage-gate processes and tools, such as Accolade
Track record of collaborating cross-functionally to deliver actionable recommendations
Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, Economics, or related field)
Knowledge of the advanced wound care market, including regenerative tissue technology therapies
Ability to thrive in an action-oriented, high-accountability environment
Work location: Remote USA
Travel: 15–20% domestic and international (on occasion)

Pay Transparency
Applicable to US Applicants Only: The expected compensation range for this position is $163,200 - $224,400, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. In addition, this position may be eligible for a range of benefits (e.g., Medical, Dental & Vision, Health Savings Accounts, Health Care & Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, Disability Benefits, Life Insurance, Voluntary Benefits, Paid Absences and Retirement Benefits, etc.).
