Key job responsibilities
3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
A day in the life
You will be building tools and services across Prime Video Auto Subs team to ensure high customer availability. This will include identification of gaps and the tools to plug those gaps, including full-stack software design and development. You will collaborate with other engineers, science team and managers to design services which meet key business needs and scale to the size of Prime Video. You will prioritize data-driven decision making, taking initiative to collect data and derive insights supporting engineering design decisions.
About the team
The mission of the Content Localization & Media Quality team in Prime Video is to “Delight Prime Video customers world-wide with defect-free experiences and relevant language options and accessibility assists from Day 1”.
With Prime Video’s 3Y goal to acquire and retain the next 100MM customers from international territories, it is imperative that our selection is made available to international customers in their preferred language. Generating such assets using Localization Service Providers (LSPs) takes multiple weeks to turn around and becomes cost prohibitive when scaled to our entire Catalog across the breadth of languages we support (32 UI languages). The Content Localization & Accessibility team drives this innovation by leveraging state of the art GenAI solutions to generate these multi-lingual and accessibility assets at scale, as well as building supply-chain automation, workflow management tooling and optimized human-in-the-loop solutions.
We obsess over making Prime Video the highest quality streaming platform, ensuring that our customers are guaranteed a defect-free streaming experience through a comprehensive portfolio of AI-driven quality assessment, Agentic Catalog management and innovative self-healing features.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
