We are looking for a skilled Cloud Storage and Backup Engineer to manage maintain and optimize our data storage backup infrastructure and BI platforms The ideal candidate will ensure data integrity availability and security across multicloud environments AzureAWS and ensure critical BI systems are backed up and recoverable You will be responsible for setting up automated backups monitoring storage capacity troubleshooting and designing disaster recovery plans

Key Responsibilities

Cloud BI Storage Management Configure manage and optimize storage solutions such as Azure BlobData Lake AWS S3 FSx EBS and database storage SQL Server Snowflake Cosmos DB

Backup Recovery Administration Deploy configure and manage enterprise backup tools eg Veeam Commvault Rubrik AzureAWS Backup

BI Platform Support Maintain and back up BI platforms Power BI Service Power BI Report Server Tableau Server Ensure timely data refreshes and troubleshoot data gateway failures

Disaster Recovery Data Protection Develop implement and maintain backup policies retention criteria and disaster recovery DR plans to meet RTORPO requirements

Monitoring Optimization Monitor backup jobs s and storage consumption daily Proactively identify and resolve performance issues

Automation Scripting Automate repetitive backup tasks storage provisioning and monitoring using scripting tools like PowerShell Python or CLI tools

Security Compliance Implement security best practices including encryption in transit and at rest Ensure adherence to data protection regulations and data retention policies

Documentation Reporting Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for backup configurations procedures and Disaster Recovery tests

Required Technical Skills

Cloud Platforms Expert knowledge of AWS S3 EBS Glacier or Azure Blob Data Lake Recovery Services Vault

Backup Tools Proven experience with Veeam Backup Replication Commvault Rubrik or Veritas

BI Systems Familiarity with Power BI Tableau or modern data warehouses Snowflake Databricks

Scripting Proficiency in PowerShell Python or Bash

Database Knowledge Strong understanding of SQL Server Oracle or MySQL database backup methodologies

OS Knowledge Solid understanding of Windows Server 20192022 and Linux operating systems
